About the Event

Compassionate Mind Training can support patients to cultivate the conditions for safeness within the therapeutic process. There are strong and helpful correlations with the resource building component of EMDR and CMT. However it can be particularly helpful for those with ruptured attachment systems and complex trauma to explicitly develop a compassionate mind to utilise in the return to and processing of traumatic memories and associations.

This day will explore the overlaps in models and theoretical underpinning, moving onto practical ways to utilise compassionate mind training within EMDR preparatory phases and processing work. This workshop will utilise an experiential and self-care method to develop a felt sense of the practices that can be used to enrich the EMDR methodology.
